Actually, this kind of non-sense sounds fairly sensible, because it is said by an idiotic Harvard graduate. Throughout these years, he has fooled thousands of women into having free sex with him, as the super duper good husband of Emmy Ran. There was a girl named Jessie. She has a great body. But he didn’t even touch her and he blamed it on his Christian faith. He said he does not approve of sex outside of marriage. He used that to explain his impotency. And there was another girl called Jazz. She is Ackley’s secret lover. She has been dating Ackley for years. He also did not touch her, because he said he is still madly in love with Emmy Ran. How romantic he sounds. He is not aroused because he cannot forget Emmy Ran and because he does not commit premarital sex. He said he is only into “making love”; without love, he cannot do it. This prematurely impotent guy with 1000 sex partners by the age of 30 is so hopelessly romantic. These lies sound so believable, as if everyone is an idiot on this planet. He is not loved because he is not known.

Ackley does not feel ashamed to cheat on his wife with his outright lies. Lying has become his daily habits, sadly also part of his life. He almost forgets how to tell the truth. He is a compulsive pathological liar. His life is built upon fabrications. Now, he finally finds a new target to be the victim of his frauds. That’s Hareta.

Ackley looks at Hareta with so much love, “My dear honey, there is one thing I want to tell you about. I don’t know how to say it and it is related to you.”

Hareta says, “Okay, what is it? Please tell me.”

Ackley says, “Now that we are together, I think it is unfair for me to keep you only as my secret lover. I owe you the title of my other half.”

Hareta says, “You know my pains too? When are you going to acknowledge me as your other half? I can’t take it sometimes when I see my beloved one with another woman.”

Ackley says, “Don’t be mad. Actually, I have been wanting to divorce Emmy for a while. I really cannot pretend anymore after I have been with you. I am filing a divorce.”

Hareta says, “I am so happy to hear this. Is this for real?”

Ackley says, “I love you. I love you wholeheartedly.”

Hareta says, “me too.”

Ackley says, “I have thought this through already. I am going to forfeit my house in Bel Air. I just need you. We have a job. We can buy our own place. I will let Emmy take care of Edison. From now on, I will treat Po Tent as my very own son.”

Hareta nods and says, “Sure. I will support you no matter what.”

Ackley says, “But….”

Hareta says ,”Now what is the problem?”

Ackley says, “Hiring a divorce lawyer is expensive. That may cost around 300K. I used up all my savings for the Mercedes and down payment. Also, Edison’s school debenture costs so much. I don’t have that much cash.”

Hareta says, “But I don’t have that much cash either.”

Ackley says, “Did you buy your apartment?”

Hareta says, “Yes but it’s 100% mortgage. I borrowed my down payment. But my dad owns a place in Shum Shui Po.”

Ackley says,” Your parents owned it?”

Hareta says, “Yes.”

Ackley seems a bit disappointed. He thought a Cheung Kwan O apartment turned out to be only Shum Shui Po. He said to himself, “Just wait a bit longer. The best is yet to come. Now you can put down her father’s apartment and cash out.”
