Ackley cannot accept this reality but he still wants to find out more from Emmy. He asks, “Why? I have been a Robin Hood for all my life. I love peace. I make love but not war. I love everyone. Everyone loves me. I work hard and play hard. I am justice and fair. Why do I end up in such a shit hole? This is unfair. Why? It is all because of you. Do I owe you anything, Emmy Ran? Why do you have to do this to me?”
Emmy says, “Wow, it sounds so good. I hate the way you talk to me, I hate the way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare. I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you cannot read my mind. I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme. I hate it, I hate the way you're always wrong. I hate it when you're around and the fact that you didn't call. But mostly I hate the way you are not aware that I hate you with all my heart and all my soul, not even close. I never ever like you, not even a little bit, not even at all.”
Well, afterall, it is an art to scream at people. Telling people off takes skills and talents. So Emmy recollects her thoughts again and continues her endless prosecution towards Ackley.
Emmy names around 100 crimes that she cannot forgive about Ackley. She says, “You are a brainless asshole, jerk, swindler, rapist, chemsex addict, douchebag, manslut, womanizer, swinger, wive swapper, drunkard, druggie, satyr, Don Juan, crack whore, digital Jesus, Mr. Armageddon. You are worse than a piece of shit and you lick chicken bottoms like they have no chicken flu. You trade sex, buy sex, sell sex and pay sex. You are a bank dealer by day and a fraud, quack, sham by night. You try to suck up to the rich but end up offending them so much that everyone in this universe wants you. Yes, they want you. They want you dead. You are the most sorted man, Aman. You are Jurian, Durian, whatever stinky food that no one wants to eat. You leave the world with incurable diseases and unimagined catastrophes of a scale that is beyond comprehension.”
Ackley says, “That’s none of your business. It is not a fraud. It is a voluntary sex trade. I am just a dealer that offers what people want.”
Emmy says, “You are hopeless.”
Ackley feels aggrieved. He starts arguing with Emmy, “Why can’t you just let it be? The world has been like that since Adam and Eve. What’s wrong with me?”
Emmy says, “Why did you ask me out when I had a boyfriend? Do you want to die? Die hard? Or you think fate is fun to mess with? You go out of your way to ask me out. If a mouse is bold enough to mess with the cat, then I can only wish you good luck.”
Emmy starts weeping a bit. Tear drops come down her cheek. She lowers her head and says, “You know what, seeing you turn into a zombie day by day, I feel really bad for you too.”
Those crocodile tears she sheds…
Ackley looks at her teary face. He still believes that she is indeed in love with him and says, “Look what a kind-hearted girl you are. You love me so much, don’t you?”
Emmy says, “My hubby, my heart aches when I see you suffer from your pains so much that you cough out your lungs in blood and foam at night. You see all these tears I cry. I don’t want you to leave this world so soon. You still owe me so much.”
Ackley says, “Don’t be silly. I am all well. I won’t die. You are such a simple girl. You don’t know how cruel and tough this world is. I will live on and protect you with all my strengths.”
Emmy starts whining, “Actually, do you realize that if you are not so blinded by greed, and if you have used all your energies on the right path, if you don’t cheat or fraud, you can very likely become a very successful person not getting things through the shortcut. But it is too late now. You have wronged too much. Karma is a bitch. If I could ever help the situation, I would only pray to God that you deserve what you get because the road to hell is paved with good intention.”
Ackley says, “You are so considerate. You turn the other cheek when they do you bad.”
Emmy says, “Yes, of course. I am your perfect Stepford Wife. For all these years, the first thing I do in the morning is to pray to God that the day of judgement would come sooner so you can look back on your incredible life with awe. You can use those good deeds that you have done to bargain with God for a sooner death and reincarnation.”
Ackley says, “Yes, for nice guys like me, we will never finish last.”
Emmy says, “You are so positive. Also, you are detached from reality.”
Ackley says, “What’s wrong with being optimistic? How do I fight against the world otherwise?”
Emmy says, “Yes, the whole world is a loser. Yes, you win.”
Ackley says, “Damn right. Only genius like me deserves to get ahead of others. My way of life is the ultimate right choice. Everyone would have done what I have done.”
Emmy says, “Yes. Because optimists usually succeed and pessimists are usually right.”
