Emmy continues, “Ignorance is a bliss.”

Hareta thinks to herself again, “Yes, Emmy, you know nothing about this world. That’s how you stay happy everyday.”

Hareta patiently listens to Emmy’s theories.

Emmy says, “Did you know that many people think that they know everything when they know nothing? Too many of them. Sometimes, unthinkable and inexplainable magic and metaphysics happen irreversibly in reality for no apparent reasons.”

Hareta thinks that Emmy must have been reminded of some irrelevant news on the headline. She thinks that Emmy should have looked closer on her husband instead of paying attention to current affairs. They popped 6 times and changed 30 positions in one night. Hareta can do what Emmy doesn’t. That’s why he is falling for Hareta.

Hareta goes, “Yes, sometimes I would love to be a child again, if only I could turn back time. No work. So free!”

Emmy says, “Actually, I am happy that I am finally over 30. Many think that the beauty and therefore the value of women only depreciates after mid twenties. But I think aging is what makes up life. It could be a relief. I don’t know why some people want to stay young forever and consume their youth like there is no tomorrow.”

Hareta nods. She is a typical accountant. Her job is to keep calculating. She is already planning for retirement in her 30s. She does not like the idea of being tagged as “old” so she prematurely advances her health, working nights and days in her entire twenties and thirties. As a result, her health deteriorates. She is officially infertile. After the death of Mani, she places all her hopes on Po Tent. But unfortunately, Po Tent has been tagged as a special needs student, which is what we used to call the mentally challenged.

Despite all these, she still hopes for the best. Partly because of her matrimonial nature, partly because she is jealous of Emmy’s son. If Po Tent can go to the same school as Edison, Po Tent would no longer be looked down upon. They would be treated as equal, wouldn’t they?

Not sure how Hareta reasons, she insists that if you go to school with a prodigy, you too would be one, even if you are a retard. Like you would become richer by going to the same school with a super rich?

Hareta asserts, “Once a woman loses her beauty and youth, she would lose everything. When you get older, you will see how ugly the world can become.”

Emmy says, “Oh right? Is this how the world works? Men age too. And when men age, they can get pretty condemned like bad breaths, body odors, kidney failures, impotency, and shredding of hair.”

Hareta laughs. She continues, “Well, you would be surprised how money can solve most of your problems. I would work my ass off when I am young so I can afford the best doctors in town when I get older. You know what I find? The harder you work, the luckier you become.”

Emmy says, “We are all geniuses. We are all super stars. We are all doctors even. Everyone lives past their 80s nowadays.”

Hareta nods and agrees.

So, Hareta, may you stay positive, stay blissful. Keep your head up. Sell your organs so you can live forever.
