that's so jasmine, that's so me.

so i was introduced to jasmine by a mutual friend, mona lam.

mona went to st stephen girls. then she studied journalism at hku or something. she worked as an anchor at tvb. and she is now the press person for mtr. anyways, thats not really the point. the point i am trying to make is that mona is actually from 北京/新疆 but like me, she grew up in hk. so she speaks native mandarin and cantonese like me.

so mona was my good hangout buddy from way back. she introduced to many friends, some from st stephen's and some from beijing. i was introduced to jasmine by mona and we quickly clicked and became good buddies.

jasmine lived in a house in 東四環, i lived in a house in 東南四環. so location wise we shared a lot in common. even though i grew up in 西城區, 動物園旁邊, i have to say me and jasmine were like 一見如故.

jasmine and mona and i used to go clubbing together in 工體. there were so many night clubs in 工體. and like so many bars that sang beyond songs in 三里屯. whenever i had holidays, i would go back to beijing. and hang out with my friends like jasmine and mona. jasmine didn't have a car in beijing. so she had to take a cab back.

i told her, i lived quite far in beijing, so getting back home could be a bit of a problem for me. then jasmine came up with a solution, she said, "call me, and pretend that you are calling your mom. say this 我現在在出租車上，出租車司機的名字是 XYZ." then nobody would try to rob me or anything if i came home late.

that worked. we went clubbing in beijing like so many times its crazy. and like beijing people could drink so much right, its crazy.

jasmine had that cardi b look. like everything on her was just so exaggerating. she had like brand name stuff, authentic brand name all over her body. her eye make up and mascara was so overdone, and they were all chanel. and like she had so many lv bags, i am not even kidding. and her hair was so damn long and straight, that i thought it could be fake. but obviously its not. and her boobs were so huge and i suspected for the longest time that her boobs were fake. but i could be wrong. who cares, nothing in this world is real anyways.

jasmine went to umass amherst. she like partied so hard with her friends in boston its crazy. she had like really pretty korean clubbing friends. they all went to school in boston.

and we like shopped in 西單 like so many times. she is so good at 砍價. she would literally walk off the shop and say something like i would never buy this cos its so expensive (in mandarin of course). oh by the way, her chinese is so good, even though she looks so westernized. and then the shop owners would ask her to come back and she would just 單刀直入, and say 給我最低價. and they would cut the price in like half for her. its so crazy.

i tell you what, actually i think i found my true self in college. i almost didn't have any friends from down south. all my friends are way up north. i like people from beijing, my home town.
