Sometimes, Emmy gets tired from taking caring of this deaf-mute mule. Sometimes, she tries humming, singing, yelling, screaming, buzzing, nagging, cursing, and even enchanting. But he just couldn’t hear what she says. He continues to live in his own world, navigating all by himself in this universe. They are two worlds apart and a space in between. Even if they speak the same language, there is no way they can communicate like a couple in parallel universes.

This may explain why he has been having paid sex every single day from the last century. He has been to all the red light districts in Hong Kong, Kowloon, New Territories, Taipei, Tokyo, Guangdong, Shenzhen, Macau and even Thailand. He is floating around in the sea of prostitutes like a headless turtle but he still thinks of himself as the lucky one.

After a few days, Hareta sends him a message. He gets back to her immediately. He really wants to get out of the reality like Sisyphus.

Hareta has a good news for him, “I have prepared the money you need. How do you want to receive it?”

Ackley says, “You are indeed my dearest beloved one. Just give it to me via bank transfer.”

Hareta says, “Okay, check again in five minutes. I will now make the transfer.”

Ackley says, “Alright. Sounds good.”

After 5 minutes, Ackley checked his bank account. He does have received 300k.

Ackley replies, “I have received the money. How did you get that?”

Hareta says, “I have got my ways. How are you going to thank me? Don’t forget that you need to pay me back some time.”

Ackley says, “After I get a divorce, I will get married with you. My money will all be yours. Don’t you worry a thing about that money. The point is you are already mine. I know your true heart. We will have a joint bank account. You are my dearest one.”

Hareta is on cloud nine hearing this. She thinks she is just steps away from taking everything away from Emmy.”

Hareta says, “Don’t you rescind what you just said.”

Ackley says, “Yes, I promise.”

Hareta says, “Ok, I believe you.”

Ackley says, “Do you have anything planned for tonight?”

Hareta says, “No, at least not for now.”

Ackley says, “Okay, let’s celebrate the start of our plan to divorce Emmy.”

Hareta says, “How?”

Ackley says, “It’s better left unsaid. Have a big meal tonight. 10 o’clock I made an appointment at For Sea Sun’s hotel Presidential Suite. Just say my name when you get to the lobby.”

Hareta says, “Wow, so privileged.”

Ackley says, “Of course. I need to thank my future wife.”

Hareta says, “I am so happy that you are finally determined to leave her. You finally recognize who is the one genuinely in love with you. Life is good. We live in a wonderful world.”

Ackley says, “Justice is on our side. After tonight, you will be carried away.”

Hareta says, “Okay. I am excited about tonight’s surprise!”
