Ackley feels so mistreated. Why he has been trying to climb up the society but Emmy wouldn’t even bother looking at him into his eyes? Is this all because he was brought up in a brothel? He has been trying to hard to fight destiny already. Why is he still not being favored by God if God ever exists?
Bang!
Ackley leaves Chin’s house without saying a word. He has to leave that cold neglecting home where he cannot feel any warmth or affection. He is in despair. He makes up his mind to finally break free from this entrapment. He has to keep fighting against fate, even though he knows that the ending may be much crueller than he could ever imagine.
From that moment he steps out of his home, he knows he cannot go back in ever again. He decides to fight back, he decides to battle against the world. Even though hope is frail, he is still willing to fight God.
Do you know about the story of Sagittarius? There was a half-animal half-man beast called Chiron. His upper body was an archer but his lower body was that of a wild horse. He had quite a few friends in the upper world because he liked to teach. One day, his student Hercules killed a poisonous python Hydra. The owner of Hydra came to Chiron’s place to seek revenge. While they were fighting, his student accidentally shot an arrow that pierced through Chiron’s arm. That arrow was contaminated with Hydra’s blood so Chiron was poisoned. He was suffering from a lot of pain so he gave up his immortal body and had his soul and spirit lay upon Prometheus. Chiron then turned into Sagittarius, being overlooked by Scorpio.
Prometheus was just a human but now he was equipped with Chiron’s immorality. Prometheus wanted to be a hero of mankind so he taught the earth many new things such as medicine and baking. At that time, there was no fire on earth because fire was considered holy like the Sun. However, Prometheuys broke all the rules of the Upper World and brought fire to mankind because he deemed it as the right thing to do. Mankind after handling fire became lazy and immoral and that angered the immortals. So the immortals decided to hang Prometheus on a cliff and he had to be tortured for 30,000 years before he could regain his freedom. During those 30,000 years, Prometheus had to bare the pain of his liver being eaten by an eagle repeatedly day after day, from now until forever.
Do you think Ackley learns his lesson with his daily repeated pain of a deteriorating liver and kidney?
Um…Doesn’t seem so.
