Even though he already went out with my friend, I still looked forward to all the events organized by KSA, all the meetings, model auditions, and outings and drinking sessions.
I still think I would like to be around him, even as his gf's best friend. To be honest, I think I could not date him even if he asked me out in freshman year. I had a boyfriend. And even if I was single, he is too hot to be around me, plus he is a pre med.
I noticed something. Mingyu never stood next to me in our group photos. Mingyu is always next to Sammy. And when I was next to Mingyu, he was always right next to Sammy.
Very sadly, Mingyu transferred out of Columbia sophomore year. But he still maintained his relationship with Sammy. I rarely saw mingyu on campus anymore and since I couldn't see mingyu, I started to withdraw myself from all freshman co year activities. I actually didn't like any of my co years other than mingyu. I pulled out from KSA, and whatever TASA activities. I just did my stuff, like radio shows. And I stopped hanging out with Mike Cho and other freshman unless they are SEAS students like me cos we still take classes together.
I was hoping to see Mingyu again but I think freshman year was the last time I saw him physically in person. I was very devastated. Not only he dated my best friend, he also transferred out of Columbia to NYU. Sammy told me it was because he was cheating in an exam in one of those biomedical engineering classes. I don't know if it was true. But I sincerely felt very disappointed and upset because I never got to see him again.
I actually didn't notice Gordon Park much because he was like a ghost in the gym. He never talked to me in person and we rarely had any conversations. I just noticed that he had a six pack. And he was a runway model for lunar gala.
I was so busy freshman year with hanging out and playing those Korean drinking games that I got sick a few times. Yet none of the guys who showed interests in me cared about whether I died. I felt like there was no one in this world who gave a damn about my well being. So I slowly moved on and continued on with my life.
I really like this forth year student called 張晨. I told Kelly that I liked this guy from Beijing.
And I said he is from 四中 and stuff. And he is from Jersey, and he is hip hop break dancer. And he dated some girl from Baruch College. He is like a few years above me. I told Kelly that I wanted to date this guy, but unfortunately through stalking his xanga, he is always occupied with a girl friend, sometimes a Korean girl sometimes a Chinese girl from Baruch College.
I really think that I should marry a guy from Beijing like 張晨. Cos now that I am at Columbia, I can meet people I rarely see in Hong Kong, and I really should bring home a Chinese guy from Beijing to make my mother happy.
I kept talking about 張晨 with Kelly. And she was so annoyed. I don't know why. She doesn't agree with me. I said, maybe you should consider 張晨 as well. But Kelly doesn't like the guys I find attractive. And I also don't find the guys she likes attractive. Like her current Korean husband, he is so NOT MY TYPE!
Anyways, I don't know why Kelly doesn't like mainland guys, especially northern mainland China. Most of the northern Chinese I know at Columbia end up dating Koreans. They don't like each other or something. But personally, I don't like Hong Kong guys at all. Now that I am in New York where HK people are minorities, I really want to date a guy from Beijing. So I kept talking about 張晨 with Kelly. I really llike 張晨 and I can imagine myself like going back to Beijing 老家 with him, and seeing his parents in Beijing and stuff. And then strolling along the streets in 前門 until like we are tired, and have our wedding in Beijing, and I can show him to my family and stuff. Yeah, and maybe live in 建外soho or 勁松. Actually he lives in 勁松!So close to my home in Beijing.
I personally am not attracted to southern Chinese, especially guys like Jackson Wang. I like 北京男孩兒 cos I grew up there...I don't find HK guys attractive. period.
